Ingredients & Craft

The materials in a candle matter. So does how they work together.

Wax, fragrance, wick, and glass all affect the way a candle burns. We develop them together, testing each fragrance and size before release.

Our blend in development combines beeswax with refined coconut oil. Each candle pairs that blend with fragrance and a wooden wick. We are testing the proportions alongside the wick and fragrance in each size of vessel. The final formula and wick will be confirmed before production.

We assess each fragrance before lighting and throughout the burn, paying attention to its strength and how it changes as the candle warms.

Burn testing follows the candle from the first light to the recommended stopping point. We check the flame, melting wax, glass temperature, fragrance, and wick over repeated burns. A fragrance will only be released in a size that has passed its tests.
