No. 06 — Citrus, Spice & Patchouli

Fresh citrus opens into sweet spice and herbs, with patchouli and woods beneath. A look at the contrasts in No. 06.

No. 06 moves from fresh citrus into sweetness, spice, and herbs, with patchouli and woods beneath. Those contrasts are what define its character.

That combination gives you several ways to understand the fragrance before experiencing it. The brighter opening and warmer base bring different dimensions to the same composition.

How citrus and herbs meet

Citrus brings brightness to the opening, while herbal notes introduce a greener, more aromatic impression. Neither needs to dominate; their contrast is what makes the composition interesting.

Our published notes for No. 06 are citrus, sweet notes, spice, patchouli, and woods. Together, they offer a clearer guide than trying to place this candle in just one fragrance family.

Spice without the bakery

The word spicy can suggest cinnamon buns or holiday baking, but spice is not always used to make a fragrance smell edible. In a composition with herbs, citrus, and woods, it can add warmth and interest without turning the entire scent toward a dessert.

Sweetness plays a part here too. It belongs in the description, but it sits among other elements rather than being the only thing the fragrance is about.

Why patchouli changes the base

Patchouli has a distinctive earthy, woody association. It can become rich and prominent in some perfumes, but its presence on a note list does not automatically mean that a fragrance will smell like heavy incense.

Alongside woods, it gives No. 06 a different foundation from the clean citrus direction of No. 03. This fragrance begins with brightness but is not defined by citrus alone.

Where it sits in the collection

Compare it with No. 02 if you are interested in herbs. That fragrance stays closer to eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary, and coriander. No. 04 also includes herbs and citrus, but leads toward clary sage, juniper, and warm woods rather than the sweet-spicy description here.

These are differences in fragrance profile, not rankings of intensity. Room size, individual perception, and the final candle all play a role in how a scent is experienced.

For a broader comparison, our guide to all seven fragrances places the collection side by side. You can also explore No. 06 and its current availability.
